Which alternative fits your requirement?
On small screens, scroll the table sideways.
| Requirement | Where to start | Main boundary |
|---|---|---|
| A small monthly pilot or a tiered outbound deployment | AiSDR | Solo is not capacity-equivalent to Alice Growth or a larger Ava plan. HubSpot and Salesforce availability differ by tier. Ask which calling steps require a person or another provider. |
| A larger managed outbound deployment | 11x | Growth lists five users and 2,000 new prospects/month, which must be matched against your workload. Julian is separately scoped; do not treat Alice pricing as a voice-agent quote. |
| Email-first work with co-pilot or automatic operation | Agent Frank | Do not assume LinkedIn, autonomous phone conversations or a named CRM connector. Its active-contact allowance is not the same unit as monthly newly researched contacts. |
| Outbound with an explicit approval-mode evaluation | Jason AI by Reply.io | Verify which actions approval covers, the named CRM connector and who performs calling steps. A channel label does not prove autonomous voice conversations. |
| Signal-led prospecting with a human seller reviewing work | Amplemarket Duo | This is a change toward seller assistance. Keep someone responsible for reviewing work, sending and accepting replies; do not assume it replaces an independently operating outbound agent. |
Five options and their trade-offs
AiSDR
A small monthly pilot or a tiered outbound deployment
- Work to evaluate
- Evaluate lead research, email outreach and reply handling at the tier matching your workload. Solo can support a one-user pilot; Explore and Scale address larger allowances.
- Boundary to check
- Solo is not capacity-equivalent to Alice Growth or a larger Ava plan. HubSpot and Salesforce availability differ by tier. Ask which calling steps require a person or another provider.
- Budget and commitment
- Solo US$250/month; Explore US$900/month and Scale US$2,500/month at displayed non-annual rates. Explore and Scale require a quarter. Scale's optional managed service adds US$2,500/month.
11x
A larger managed outbound deployment
- Work to evaluate
- Evaluate Alice when managed outbound infrastructure, onboarding and a shared deployment are priorities. Scope its outbound work independently from any inbound worker.
- Boundary to check
- Growth lists five users and 2,000 new prospects/month, which must be matched against your workload. Julian is separately scoped; do not treat Alice pricing as a voice-agent quote.
- Budget and commitment
- The Growth card shows US$3,750/month equivalent billed annually, implying US$45,000/year; its FAQ states US$36,000/year. This discrepancy is unresolved. Require a written price and term.
Agent Frank
Email-first work with co-pilot or automatic operation
- Work to evaluate
- Evaluate Frank for an email-focused workflow when the choice between draft review and automatic operation matters. Ask how research, reply handling and meeting handoff work in your campaign.
- Boundary to check
- Do not assume LinkedIn, autonomous phone conversations or a named CRM connector. Its active-contact allowance is not the same unit as monthly newly researched contacts.
- Budget and commitment
- The page lists US$499/month equivalent annually (US$5,988/year) and US$599/month quarterly (US$1,797/quarter). Email infrastructure is additional. Confirm the total package in writing.
Jason AI by Reply.io
Outbound with an explicit approval-mode evaluation
- Work to evaluate
- Evaluate Jason when you want to inspect approval before sending alongside automated outbound work. Demonstrate the research, campaign and reply steps with your own example.
- Boundary to check
- Verify which actions approval covers, the named CRM connector and who performs calling steps. A channel label does not prove autonomous voice conversations.
- Budget and commitment
- Use the current Jason-specific plan builder or proposal. Confirm contact allowance, billing term, infrastructure and services; a standard Reply seat price is not assumed to be a Jason quote.
Amplemarket Duo
Signal-led prospecting with a human seller reviewing work
- Work to evaluate
- Evaluate Duo when buying signals, prospect context and prepared outreach are more useful than delegating the whole process. Its documented workflow gives the seller a review and send decision.
- Boundary to check
- This is a change toward seller assistance. Keep someone responsible for reviewing work, sending and accepting replies; do not assume it replaces an independently operating outbound agent.
- Budget and commitment
- Scope the Amplemarket package with Duo features, seats and usage. Confirm infrastructure and integrations. No standalone Duo dollar price is assumed here.
When staying with Artisan can make sense
Staying with Ava may be sensible when its targeting, guardrails and CRM handoff work and a configuration change resolves the issue. Keep its human calling model in the budget if you use the dialer. Before migrating, separate a product limitation from audience quality, messaging or an unclear handoff, and account for setup and training time.
Questions before switching
- Which Ava tasks and human calling responsibilities need to remain after a switch? A seller copilot is a different operating model.
- Ask Artisan and the alternative to price the same users, contact workload, mailboxes, CRM and services, with the full minimum term.
- Artisan describes contacted leads; other vendors may count researched or active contacts. What happens to duplicate, suppressed and repeat records?
- Test pre-send approval, edits, reply escalation and stopping scheduled messages. Record exactly which actions require a person.
- Check who owns the CRM mapping, activity write-back and failed-sync resolution after onboarding. Include migration and operator time in the calculator.
Common buying questions
Is there a cheaper alternative to Artisan?
Artisan requires a current quote. Public subscriptions from other vendors can provide a starting point, but an unknown Artisan price cannot support a savings claim. Match workload and term first.
Does an AI alternative remove the need for human calling?
The Artisan pages reviewed describe human reps using the dialer. Replacing email outreach does not automatically replace that work. Ask for an explicit demonstration if autonomous calling is required.
When is Duo an alternative to Ava?
When you intentionally want the seller to review signal-based context and prepared outreach. Its human review workflow is relevant to that requirement; it is not evidence of equivalent autonomous coverage.
