How we research AI sales agents

Our goal is to make a fast-changing market easier to compare without turning vendor marketing into an uncritical scorecard.

01

Category fit

The product must perform or materially support a sales-development workflow. Generic chatbots and broad automation platforms are only included when they offer a specific sales-agent capability.

02

Workflow coverage

We record the job performed: research, prospecting, qualification, outreach, response handling, booking, calling or seller assistance.

03

Buyer fit

Profiles identify the teams, company stages and operating models a product appears best suited to, without treating vendor claims as independent evidence.

04

Transparency

Public pricing is labelled separately from quote-based pricing. Sponsorships never determine editor labels or placement inside editorial comparisons.

05

Freshness

Profiles with completed source checks display a date and primary-source links. Other listings are marked as overviews awaiting review. A source check confirms what a vendor publishes, not product performance. Corrections are welcomed through the listing form.

06

Commercial relationships

External links may later include affiliate attribution. That never changes inclusion criteria, factual fields or editorial conclusions.

What an “Editor pick” means

It means the product is especially relevant to buyers comparing that category based on its apparent workflow coverage, market fit and available product information. It is not a universal winner, a customer-performance guarantee or a paid badge. Buyers should still run a controlled pilot using their own data, compliance requirements and success metrics.

Corrections and updates

Vendors and users can submit a correction through the listing form. We prioritise claims that include a primary source such as a product page, documentation or current pricing page.
